Fearne Cotton

Fearne Cotton has always been a style icon for me. I love her style and love her hairstyles. I love the way she makes looking good effortless!
After looking at her blog page i discovered she has brought out her own fashion range called Very! These are a few of the outfits that i love and will be trying to get my hands on over xmans!

Fashion Show Committee!
I am now part of the Fashion Show Committee!
I am taking on the role with two other people, in preparing all the fundraiser events to hopefully raise lots money for our fabulous end of the year fashion Show!
Style Report!

Our group was given a task to individually do a fashion makeover on someone you want to transform.
I chose my mum, not because she looks awful! But because she always thinks that clothes she sees, that she likes are too young for her to wear herself!
I want to show her that there not, and want to get her to show of her amazing figure more!

I interviewed my mum to find out a bit more about her:

Name: Alison Scott

What are your likes/dislikes about your body?
Legs- Not a nice shape
Stomach- Pot belly!
Bum- Ok!

Who is your hero/heroin?
Madonna but i don't like her dress sense.
Admire Lulu,s style-chick and sassy!
Cheryle Cole-always look very smart and well groomed and not to OTT!
Twiggy but her style is sometime a bit mumsy.
Fearne Cotton is a great style icon for the younger set.
My Mum because she is the smartest dressed grandma in North East!

If you had unlimited credit what would you do?
I would buy an outfit for every occasion, including bags, shoes and jewelry. Shop in London and get my hair and makeup done in a expensive salon. I would also buy very expensive make up and hair products.

I chose to change three of my mum's looks. Her work wear, day wear and evening wear.

Next Year Set Targets!
I have found this year very hard as I have not enjoyed it, but I now know that I definitely want to go into the promotion side of fashion. I have learnt alot this year and have decided to set myself targets for next year to help me improve my work.
Time Management: I have learnt that I need to improve on my time management to help me meet my deadlines successfully. To do this I am going to write all tasks down in a diary to help me plan ahead, be more aware of deadlines and make me more organised.
Computers: I really enjoyed the magazine layout task that we were given and feel that my magazine spread would have looked more professional if I was more skilled on the computer. To help me improve for next year I am going to try to enroll on an advanced computer course at Kingston Maurward college in September. This will make me quicker, give me more confidence and help me improve my work next year when using computers.
Fashion Vs Sports Crit!

I forgot to hand in my sketch book and did not realise this until i had my Crit which i was rather upset about!!
Apart from that i feel that my crit went well. They were really impressed with the bikini that i made to wear under my dress. They thought that the colours that i had chose worked really well and my model looked great.
They liked my magazine spread and said that all the accessories and clothes that i had chosen went really well with my outfit.

I feel that if i had worked more at my time management than i would have been more successful with this project. I would not have been so stressed and rushed my work as much if i had planned ahead more.
Fashion Vs Sports!
I have finally found a soloution to get the right colours in the fabric that i want!
I have discovered the wonderful world of fabric dying and after many attempts i have found the two perfect colours from dylon fabris dyes. I have chosen Tulip Red for my cotton jersey ribbing fabric, and Antique grey for the heavy cotton jersey fabric.
I have also found a perfect chunky grey zip from Hansons. So i am now ready to make my final dress!!!!

I am in Love with Barry M Nail Varnish!!!!!
There are soooo many funky bright colours to choose from, it only costs £2.95 from Superdrug and it stays on for at least 4 days without chipping!
That is why i am in love with Bary M nail varnish!!
Toile Review!
My Toile review went better than i expected today! Everyone liked my dress and said they would wear it themselves which was nice to hear.
I am having trouble trying to find my fabric tough! No one seems to have the right colours in the fabric i want!
The tutors did not want me to change much on my dress, i just need to make the gathers on the front of my dress neater and measure them properly so they are the same length away from each other.

Project 3 "Shakers"
Choose to wear what makes you feel gorgeous. Love your clothes, love life!
This is the mood board that I created.
This is my final design which I was not very happy with!!
I did not enjoy this project and found it hard to get inspiration. I asked the the whole class a question which was: What clothes make you the most happiest.
Everyone answered that they like to wear clothes that makes them feel confident, mostly smart well fitted clothes. That is what gave me the idea of designing a sexy dress. I feel that my design was a sexy well fitted dress but feel I chose the wrong dress that I designed for my final design, because after I had chose it I thought of lots of better designs and wish I had thought of them before!!
I loved my mood board which is where i got the idea of using lace on the dress but wish I had though of a more exciting colour than black for my fabric.
Project 2 "Folk"
This is my design a folk shirt project mood board and final design!
Evaluation
I was really pleased with my final design, and loved the design on the front of my shirt.
I did lots of research and my mood board really helped me and that is what gave me the idea of coming up with my own colourful folk pattern!
I really enjoyed this project but because I came up with my design straight away and loved it, I felt that did not show enough different shirt designs that I could have done.
Spice Mood Board
We were given lots of different words to look at in class, and had to chose one to create a mood board with. as you can see i chose SPICE!
Hannah Zakari
I came across this website (http://www.hannahzakari.co.uk/) while searching the web for a cup cake necklace!!
There are lots of different types of cute necklaces and jewellery!
I spotted these trainers on a girls blog from Australia and couldn't help noticing how cool they are!!!
